Hitting a driver off the fairway sans tee is a difficult enough feat in the golfing world, but Si Woo Kim took that trick to another level in Saturday’s third round of THE PLAYERS Championship by pulling out the big dog from a lie in the gallery-trampled rough.
The 21-year-old South Korean would go on to win the most important tournament of his professional career in large part due to this spectacular shot.

The cojones to hit that shot in a pressure-packed situation are just insane.
Even a millimeter off in terms of contact and that’s wildly off line.
A win for Kim at @THEPLAYERSChamp!

Alas, Kim jumps to No. 28 in the World Golf Rankings with this victory, and it’s likely the first of many big championship trophies for this ballsy young Korean.
