Tiger Woods Says 'I Want to Play Professional Golf Again' Despite Fourth Back Surgery

By Anthony Blake

Watching the downfall of Tiger Woods, from both a personal standpoint as well as physically, has been difficult for golf fans who long for the peak days of Tiger vs. the field in every major.

After his fourth back surgery since 2014, Woods maintains that he wants to return to the course as a professional, but he’s taking his recovery slow.

In his blog post, Woods mentions that he won’t be able to make twisting movements for another 2-3 months and likely won’t be playing golf again until 2018, when he’ll be 42 years old.

Sure, Jack Nicklaus won the 1986 Masters at the age of 46, but he hadn’t had four surgical procedures on his back prior to that.

Though Woods isn’t retiring, it’s hard to see him ever making much of an impact again as a professional golfer.
