Adam Scott Somehow Misses 1-Foot Putt on First Hole of 2017 US Open

By Anthony Blake

We’ve all missed some easy putts out on the golf course, but it’s tough to imagine ever missing one any shorter than the gimme Adam Scott butchered at the first hole of the 2017 US Open.

Here’s the ultimate failure in all its glory from Erin Hills.

And in case you didn’t know just how cruel the game of golf can be, here’s the miss at the opener juxtaposed with his ridiculous make on the final hole for a closing eagle.

It was quite a bounce back for Scott after missing that shorty at the first.

After being 4-over at one point, he managed to climb all the way back to even par for a 72 to remain in the tournament.

Perseverance is the name of the game at the US Open.
