Justin Thomas Sinks Impossible Putt, Eagles 18th Hole for US Open Record Third Round

By Anthony Blake

Of all the feats in the third round of the 2017 US Open for Justin Thomas, perhaps his sideways curling masterpiece of a putt at hole No. 5 trumped them all.

I mean, he aims in the other direction from the hole.

That was astonishing, but this ballsy swing on the 18th hole really set the stage for the record-setting round to be carded.

But of course, he had to make the putt on the final hole to finish off a 63 and break the US Open single-round scoring record in relation to par.

Now, Thomas has a shot at his first career major on Sunday after this sparkling scorecard.
