Jhonattan Vegas Defends Canadian Open Title Despite Hitting Bunker Lip on Playoff Hole

By Anthony Blake

Most of us suffer the consequences after hitting the lip of a fairway bunker when there’s water to carry en route to the green, but not Jhonattan Vegas.

No, his ball just powers through the sod and still makes its way to the green.

@jhonattanvegas hits the lip but somehow gets it to the green anyway! 😱

This bit of good fortune allowed Vegas to top Charley Hoffman in a playoff for the second straight year and defend his title at the RBC Canadian Open.

Twice as nice.

It also goes to show that golf really is just a random game of bounces.
