With the NFL season one quarter over, a number of players, and teams, have shocked the football world.

Who saw Nnamdi Asomugha and the Eagles starting the season with three losses in their first four games? Did anybody think Matt Stafford and the Lions would be one of the final two unbeaten teams? And who really thought that Cam Newton would be one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL?

Through four games, however, one player has established himself as the best and most valuable player in the league. And it’s really not going to come as a surprise to anybody.

The First Quarter Most Valuable Player is Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the reigning Super Bowl MVP.

Easily. There’s really nobody else even close.

Rodgers has been nothing short of incredible this season. He has led Green Bay to a 4-0 record. The Packers offense has scored 148 points, an average of 37 per game.

In four games, Rodgers has completed 103 of 141 passes for 1325 yards, 12 touchdowns, and just 2 interceptions. His 73.1 percent completion percentage would easily be an NFL record if it stood over a full season, as would his 124.6 passer rating.

In the week four victory over the Denver Broncos, Rodgers set a Packers record with six total touchdowns–four through the air and two on the ground.

Green Bay is as unstoppable as any team in the league. They’re an absolute lock to reach the postseason, even though NFC North rival Detroit is also 4-0.

They’ll likely earn home-field advantage throughout the postseason. And as of now, they’re the odds on favorite to repeat as Super Bowl champions.
