Packers: Greg Jennings Looks Fine, Same Can’t Be Said for Alex Green
During Sunday’s 33-27 win over the Minnesota Vikings, the Green Bay Packers sustained two injuries on the offense to key players Greg Jennings and rookie running back Alex Green.
After just one play on the Packers first offensive series, Aaron Rodgers’ 26-yard pass to Jennings looked great, until an injury down the sideline occurred moments later. According to reports though, Jennings only has a bruised hand, an injury which should heal up over the course of the bye week.
Unfortunately, the same can’t be said for Green, however. In the first quarter during a kick return, Randall Cobb reportedly ran into the back leg of Green — leaving him with a knee injury which will require surgery.
Overall, the absence of Green won’t affect the Packers running game too much, but it does beg the question as to who Green Bay might sign from the practice squad to replace him. Currently fans are speculating that Brandon Saine may receive a call, especially with Dimitri Nance no longer a part of the team.

Saine looked like a good prospect in camp and the exhibition games, he appears to catch the ball well out of the backfield and runs without hesitation and came from a program with a lot of talent (Ohio State) so you know he has the required talent level.
Nance was built like Quinn Johnson but ran with his head down like Brendon Jackson, absolutely no feel for the hole.
That’s exactly what I’ve heard about Saine, Lou. It’s pretty much all been positive feedback, so I hope the Packers sign him up to the roster.
