Astros General Manager Ed Wade To Be Fired
A Sunday evening report by Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com is suggesting that Houston Astros’ new owner Jim Crane is set to make a series of significant personnel decisions on Monday, including the removal of Ed Wade from the General Manager position.
Crane declared in his initial press conference that he would be acting swiftly “right after Thanksgiving” in clarifying the future roles for those currently within the organization.
Stay tuned tomorrow for speculation as to who may be succeeding Wade as the team moves forward in its final year competing in the National League. Fortunately, it is unlikely that the Astros will be overly involved in the off-season transaction market, so at least the new G.M. will have sufficient time to acclimate himself with the role.
