Houston Texans Sign Oregon WR Jeff Maehl, LSU WR Terrence Tolliver,
The Houston Texans were very busy last night. They reportedly reached an agreement with 18 undrafted free agents, headlined by Oregon and LSU wide receivers Jeff Maehl and Terrence Tolliver.
Maehl had a highly touted career at Oregon, leaving the school with multiple receiving records, but many speculated if he benefited from a gimmicky offense.
Not to mention they don’t believe he has the speed to be an NFL caliber wide out.
Regardless of what people are saying, Maehl is a hard worker that will never give up his dream of playing in the NFL, and that’s the type of guy I want on the roster.
Tolliver had a disappointing career at LSU but the potential for greatness is there. He went to Hempstead High School, so one wonders if the home town came in to play.

I’m from northern California, graduated the same year as Jeff Maehl, and watched him play in the Section Championship his senior year. I’ve rooted for him all the way through. When he was signed to Oregon, was was a no-name who they thought would be a backup safety. Look what he did there. I can’t for the life of me figure out how any team would not want this kid after seeing him burn Aurburn in the NC game. Was hoping the 49ers would draft and or sign him. Bumme that they didn’t. You’re getting a good one though, and I expect him to surprise a lot of people.
Hopefully he makes the team, the guy has an incredible work ethic
Im so stoked for Jeff Maehl. Such talent and ability. A beer tasted pretty good watching him play on Saturday, but I know it’s gonna taste better watching him play on sunday. I feel so bad for the corners that get mind fucked by Jeff, and they will.
haha nice comment. He’s a baller for sure
We loved watching Jeff play at UofO when no one else could make the catch to move the down markers he could. Time after time Jeff would get it done. I’m not a Texan fan but I’ll be sure to watch and root for Maehl.
Maehl is definitely a guy people can route for..I talked to him and got a great vibe and he seems incredibly humble
