Houston Texans to Make Biggest Offer to Nnamdi Asomugha

RANT It!

According to multiple reports, including ones by ESPN’s Chris Mortenson and Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, the Houston Texans will make the biggest offer for free agent CB Nnamdi Asomugha.

Asomugha is the top free agent on the market and the best corner, and with the Texans struggles in pass defense last year it’s no wonder they are going to make a play for him.

However, it’s pretty well known that the money is not as important as joining a winner. Though I’m not sure that excludes the Texans despite their 6-10 2010 record.

They have hired Wade Phillips as their defensive coordinator who has had great defenses in the past. If the Texans can get even an average defense on the field, they will go far.

Signing Asomugha would give them a fantastic defense.
