At Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Monday night, the Indiana Pacers faced a must-win situation against the Orlando Magic. Indiana lost home court advantage to Orlando in game one on Saturday, but bounced back with a definitive win on Monday night. Indiana played well with their back against the wall, defeating the depleted Orlando Magic by a score of 93-78.

The Magic held the Pacers to a mere 77 points in game one Saturday night. Indiana had previously scored over 100 points in nine of their last ten games. The Magic showed up on Saturday, but seemed to sputter majorly on Monday. The Pacers held tight, and played up to their potential. The Pacers jumped out to an early 22-12 lead, but gave up a 9-2 run to end the first quarter. The Magic went in the halftime break with a 44-42 lead, and there was a smattering of boos from the sold-out crowd at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indiana.

The Pacers seemed to be on the brink of extinction, staring down the barrel of an 0-2 series deficit heading back to the Magic Kingdom. Indiana blew the game wide open in the third quarter, outscoring Orlando 30-13 and never looking back. The Magic were held to only 57 points after three quarters. The Indiana lead grew to as many as 17 points.

Indiana’s balanced attack consisted of four starters and one bench player scoring in double figures. The Pacers had three players score 18 points, and one other player score 17. After a dismal outing on prime time television Saturday night, Indiana seemed to find their own magic against Orlando.
