Indianapolis Colts, Jim Irsay’s Comments Are Not Keeping It in House
The plan was to release Peyton Manning the whole time, so do it already!
Jim Irsay first fired the Polians, who are some of the biggest Manning supporters. He then fired his head coach and hired a head coach that has only defensive coordinator experience. Then he let his quarterback coach, Frank Reich, leave to go to Arizona.
When Manning showed some frustation he told ESPN that he hadn’t heard from Irsay, and Indianapolis Colts are a bad place to be right now. When Irsay heard about Manning’s comments his response was that he thought Manning is a “politician” and he should keep things “in house”.
Well, that is all good to keep it in house, but Irsay’s latest tweet saying “we want Manning back as long as he wants to be back”, is not keeping it in house. If that’s not Irsay putting Manning on blast I don’t know what is.
Jim Irsay talks about keeping things in house then runs his twitter account rampid. Jim Irsay needs to listen to his own advice and keep things in house. Are you going to tell me he doesn’t know Manning’s phone number? And I am sure he knows where Peyton lives, he could stop by there.
The whole time Jim Irsay has been playing all of us for a fool. It is a concern that Manning is coming off of four neck surgeries. Yes, but thats not the issue and we all thought it was. Jim Irsay is doing this to get attention and when Manning does get relased, he doesn’t want the fans to turn on him. He knows that Manning is the most popular guy in Indianapolis and if he were to just cut him the Indianapolis Colts fans would turn on Irsay. That being said he put that statement out via his twitter account so the fans would turn on Manning instead.
It’s a bussiness, but a childish move at best for Jim Irsay.
