Greg Davis Rumored To Be The Next Iowa Hawkeyes Offensive Coordinator
It looks like Iowa’s eventful off-season is winding down. After long time defensive coordinator Norm Parker retried, Hawkeye fans waited patiently for new blood to be brought into the program. New blood wasn’t exactly the case on defense, as Phil Parker (no relation) was promoted to the coordinator spot.
Some offensive shuffling brought in Brian Ferentz from the New England Patriots to coach the offensive line and now it looks like Iowa has found its offensive coordinator.
Greg Davis, best known for being Mack Brown’s offensive coordinator at Texas, looks to be the guy running the show. This is not official as of now, but there seems to be too much smoke for there not to be a fire.
Former Colts coordinator Tom Moore was an initial popular name, but it looks like he’s not an option.
Davis is a polarizing figure, according to Longhorn fans. I guess it wouldn’t be Iowa football without a polarizing offensive play caller, would it?
