The Jaguars are having trouble keeping their running backs healthy this preseason.

While they have held starting running back Maurice Jones-Drew out of the first two preseason games as they try to bring him back slowly from an off season knee surgery his two primary back-ups, Rashad Jennings and Deji Karim, have suffered concussions. The Jaguars fourth running back Richard Murphy also suffered an injury during last Friday’s preseason game against the Atlanta Falcons.

With the recent rash of injuries at the position it appears the Jaguars have signed somebody to take some of the carries while the others backs recover.

According to Albert Young’s twitter page, he is signing with the Jaguars.

Young was a free agent after playing his first two NFL seasons with the Minnesota Vikings.
