There were five Jaguars players represented on the top 200 NFL players list released by the Scouts Inc. department of ESPN on Tuesday.

The list of Jaguars players is led by running back Maurice Jones-Drew (#38) followed by linebacker Daryl Smith (#80), tight end Marcedes Lewis (#147), linebacker Paul Posluszny (#160) and cornerback Rashean Mathis (#197).

It is nice to see a player like Smith get some recognition from a national media outlet. He has played at a Pro Bowl level the past couple of seasons, but he has remained largely unknown because he has spent his entire career in Jacksonville.

Some notable names left off this list are defensive tackle Terrance Knighton and defensive end Aaron Kampman. Knighton could very well find his way on to this list next year if he has another solid season anchoring the Jaguars defensive line, while Kampman has fallen off of this list after having a torn ACL end his season the past two years.
