The Jacksonville Jaguars search for a new head coach is over.

According to Tania Ganguli of The Florida Times-Union, the Jaguars are set to hire Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey as their next head coach.

Mularkey interviewed with the Jaguars on Tuesday following his teams exit from the playoffs after a 24-2 loss to the New York Giants on Sunday. In his four seasons with the Falcons, Mularkey tutored young quarterback Matt Ryan into one of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL. The Jaguars hope that he will be able to do the same for Jaguars quarterback Blaine Gabbert.

Mularkey has previously been an NFL coach with the Buffalo Bills in 2004-2005. He had a 14-18 record in his two seasons with the Bills.
