Final preseason game indicates Chiefs may use the no-huddle offense more in 2010

The Kansas City Chiefs got off to an impressive start against the Green Bay Packers during their final preseason game, leading the so-called NFC North favorites 14-3 at halftime. However, it’s not the score that is important, but how the offense practiced the no-huddle offense during the first half.
Quarterback Matt Cassel played three series against the Packers, completing 4 of 9 passes for 58 yards and one touchdown. He also threw an interception in the second drive on a pass intended for Dwayne Bowe—although the argument can be made it wasn’t Cassel’s fault.
If the first three drives are any indication of what to expect from the Chiefs this season, it appears Charlie Weis plans on using the no-huddle offense a lot this season. Cassel ran the no-huddle 14 times during his time on the field and was able to move Kansas City into Green Bay territory on the final two drives.
