It’s something a lot of fans and people around college football are wondering about.

Where will Tyrann Mathieu transfer to and continue his career? There have been a few options discussed so far.

According to ESPN, Mathieu is considering enrolling at McNeese State, located in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The school competes in the Southland Conference and finished the 2011 season with five wins and six loses.

Mathieu is said to have visited McNeese late Friday night, where he met with Cowboys coach Matt Viator to discuss possibly continuing his career there. He left without a commitment.

Other schools Mathieu is said to be considering are Jackson State and Prairie View A&M. Both schools compete in the SWAC Conference.

Mathieu has two years of eligibility left and will have to sit out a year if he transfers to another FBS school. If he transfers to a school in the FCS or Division II level, Mathieu will be eligible to play immediately.

His dismissal from the LSU football team comes after Mathieu’s repeated violations of LSU’s substance abuse policy. He was suspended for a game last season for a failed drug test and was said to be attending counseling sessions throughout the spring and summer.

Apparently those sessions did not help.

It’s a sad situation to see if your a college football fan. Mathieu was the most electrifying player in college football last season with his ability to change the game on the drop of a dime.

Not only did LSU lose a big part of their team, college football lost one as well.

The Honey Badger put the show in the show.
