Matt Kemp is the best player in the NL, and maybe in all of baseball. The Los Angeles Dodgers are off to one of the best starts in baseball. Kemp recently hurt his hamstring and was put on the 15 day DL, which he fought tooth and nail. Can the Dodgers survive without Kemp for 15 days? If this was the offseason, I wouldn’t have picked the Dodgers to go very far, so I would have said heck no! They Can’t survive! Now, I’m eating crow.

I absolutely think the Dodgers will survive. It’s not because I think they’re the best team in the NL, it’s because they’re in the worst division in baseball. Each team in the NL west has some major flaws. The Dodgers just seem to have less than those teams. Two weeks isn’t going to make and break the year, but the Dodgers are going to need a healthy Matt Kemp down the road.

Putting him on the DL was the right move. You don’t want to mess around with Hamstrings because that could creep back and hamper him for the rest of the year. Kemp is on a torrid pace, and he has set some lofty goals for himself, he’s not happy but this was the right decision.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are going to be fine. As long as they tread water, they’ll be fine. There isn’t anyone in that division that will challenge them at this point.

Get well soon Matt Kemp. I need you on my fantasy team!
