LeBron James was roundly criticized for his late game performance, or lack thereof, in the NBA Finals last summer.  While James did a good deal of damage from beyond the arc against the Bulls in the Eastern Conference Finals he too often settled for perimeter shots against the Mavericks.  An offseason to contemplate has apparently led King James to change his game.  Through the Miami Heat’s first seven games of the season James has just one three point attempt.  That’s right, after going 92-for-279 from downtown last season James is 0-for-1 this year.  As a byproduct James is shooting 59.5% from the floor, which would set a career high.  The sample size is still relatively small but James has clearly made a concerted effort to get to the hoop this season and let Mario Chalmers and James hoist three pointers.  The formula is working as Miami currently leads the league averaging 108.3 points per game.
