Steve Mitchell-US PRESSWIRE

Dwyane Wade Left the Miami Heat’s game against the Washington Wizards last night with a dislocated index finger on his left hand. The question everyone has is will that injury affect Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat in the playoffs? It seems like so many guys are taking time off to rest as the playoffs near, and Dwyane Wade is no stranger to injury, as he’s missed quite a bit of time over his career.

If I had to answer this question with a yes or a no, I would likely go with a no. Dwyane Wade is a gamer, and a star. I don’t see an injury like this costing him much of anything once the postseason hits because the Heat have everything to prove this year after bringing in the 3 stars a few off seasons ago. If Dwyane sits, it clearly will bring every blog, maniac, and hater out of the woodworks, and there will always be what if’s. Dwyane Wade is under a lot of pressure to help LeBron James win a championship, and I don’t think he has the stones to sit in the playoffs.

Let me be clear, I’m a die hard Chicago Bulls fan, but that doesn’t mean much. It’s about being objective and the Heat are obviously one of the best teams in the league. Can Dwyane Wade lead them? Absolutely. Can he do it injured? Heck yeah he can. I wouldn’t be too concerned if I were a Heat fan, as Dwayne Wade will step his game up, and show why he’s one  of the best players in the history of the game.
