The Miami Marlins did a lot of upgrade their closer and Heath Bell got his first chance at a save Easter Sunday. Bell came in the ninth up one run and while only recording one out, he allowed Cincinnati Reds outfielder Jay Bruce to hit a  game-tying home run and after Ryan Hanigan and Drew Stubbs singled, pinch hitter Scott Rolen hit the game-winning single that scored Stubbs to win the game 6-5.

Bell picked up his first loss of the season and his first blown save and it is only the fourth game of the year.

The Marlins got a decent performance out of Carlos Zambrano. He pitched six innings and allowed four runs on four hits while striking out six batters. He did allow a Bruce home run as well in the sixth inning.

The bullpen behind Zambrano did not do that bad either. Steve Cishek nor Ed Mujica allowed a hit in the innings that they pitched in middle relief for Miami.

Only Emilio Bonifacio recorded multiple hits in the ball game. He was 2-for-5 with an RBI. Jose Reyes had one hit as well and that hit was a triple. Hanley Ramirez, Giancarlo Stanton and Logan Morrison all recorded one hit as well. Chris Coghlan had a pinch hit double as well.

The Reds come away with the weekend series as the Marlins will try to rebound against the Philadelphia Phillies Monday when they face potential NL Cy Young award candidate Cole Hamels. Anibal Sanchez will be on the mound for the Fish.
