Offensive Woes Continue In Brewers’ 6-2 Loss To Braves
The Brewers offense went missing in Houston, and it hasn’t yet been found in Atlanta.
Milwaukee couldn’t solve Braves starter Jair Jurrjens, while Brewers’ starter Yovani Gallardo did his team no favors with a four-run sixth inning.
The Brewers actually led 2-1 after four, before Gallardo’s meltdown in the sixth. But scoring only two runs on just seven hits for the game is a recipe for trouble.
The Brew Crew is now 13-15 after losing three straight, and in all three losses, offense, or lack thereof, has been a problem.
Streaks come and go in a long season, and the Brewers can be thankful that they don’t find themselves in the same predicament as the Chicago White Sox, another team that has struggled badly after being predicted to win their division. At least the Brewers are close to .500, and within striking distance in the NL Central. Despite being in fourth place, the Brewers are just two and a half games out of first place.
Which isn’t bad, all things considered. But in order to get out of that rut, the team will need to get the bats going.
