Milwaukee’s bench outscored Miami’s 39-11 which is the top reason why they were able to win the game. Ersan Ilyasova led the group with 16 points followed by Stephen Jackson with 10. That’s right, after being benched the entire game against the Knicks for missing the morning shoot around Jackson came off the bench in relief for Shaun Livingston in Miami.
“I've been around a long time,” shooting guard Stephen Jackson said. “We won the last game with this lineup and we got off to a good start today. If aint broke, don't fix it. I'm about winning, nothing else. A lot of people like to read between the lines, but I want to win and everywhere I've been, I've won. It's all about winning with me.”
Jackson is going about this the right way and that is exactly what Bucks fans want to hear. Against New York, he was able to sit back and watch as his team beat a talented Knicks team without him. Then Jackson watched as his team got off to a fast start against one of the best teams in the league with him on the bench. There is no doubt the last couple of games has been a humbling experience and now he realizes what this team is all about. No one single player will win the game for the Bucks but rather a total team effort.
