Milwaukee Bucks Stun Miami Heat Once Again
Milwaukee – The Milwaukee Bucks (10-11) won their second straight game against the Miami Heat (16-6) and their third in a row for the first time this season. Brandon Jennings led the team with 31 points while four other players were in double figures.
The game looked like it could have been over in the first half when the Heat was up as many as 18 points with LeBron James scoring a season-high 24 in the first quarter. Milwaukee was down 13 heading into halftime but were not about to fall over for the defending Eastern Conference champions. The Bucks exploded in the second half holding the Heat to 37 points while scoring 58 of their own to win the game 105-97.
There is no doubt defense played a big part in the victory and that is exactly what you get from a Scott Skiles team. Skiles takes a group of good players and squeezes every ounce of talent out of them to make them great players.
We are witnessing something amazing in the NBA right now. The Bucks are a team that will never quit because their coach won’t let them. They do not care how many superstars are on the other team because that doesn’t matter. All they care about is what is in their control which is the ability to play hardnosed, in your face basketball for 48 minutes. One of the best teams in the league, a team manufactured to win “six or seven championships” was up by 18 and still got beat. Teams better come prepared because the Bucks refuse to go down without a fight, which makes them one of the most dangerous teams in the NBA right now.
This was Miami’s sixth loss of the season which means a third of their losses have come at the hands of the Bucks. Milwaukee on the other hand is one game below .500 and has won six of their last eight games.
The following are four reasons why the Bucks were able to beat the Heat.
