Adrian Peterson wants the ball

Fantasy football owners who selected Adrian Peterson were most likely scratching their head last Friday, don’t don’t fret just yet, the Minnesota Vikings running back says he wants the ball. In fact he wants the ball a lot. The running back says he wouldn’t mind 50 carries a game. When asked by reporters about his workload, Peterson replied, “About 40,50 carries. That would be lovely. I would love that.” Adrian, so would fantasy football owners too.
Until the Minnesota Vikings offense gets firing on all cylinders, I would think that a heavy dose of Peterson should be in order. 25-30 carries a game would not be unreasonable to ask. Of course, I have to offer this disclaimer, I own Adrian Peterson in two of my fantasy league. In one league I had the first overall pick and chose Peterson over Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson. After week one, I found myself asking whether or not my draft strategy was wise. I selected Peterson over Johnson based on history. Backs which have run for over 2,000 in one season, fail to come close to duplicating those kinds of numbers in the following season. Never mind the curse of the 370, where running backs which carry the ball over 370 times in one year, have very poor seasons the next year.
So, from a selfish point of view, how about feeding Adrian Peterson the ball All Day.
