Yankees Home Opener Today

By Joe Paulus

The Yankees have had four days off already this season which is noteworthy since there have only been six games played by the team. They will open their season today at 1PM in the Bronx at Yankee Stadium.

The Yankees have one of the tougher opening two-week schedules in baseball with series against the Red Sox, Rays, Angels, and Rangers. The team took two of three from both the Sox and Rays thus far. Despite not being in first place with a 4-2 record, the team hasn’t lost a series yet against two division rivals.

New addition Curtis Granderson has two home-runs and two stolen bases to date, and Jorge Posada is off to a fantastic start with two dingers and a .353 average.

Andy Petite will face off against Ervin Santana.
