Braves Rout Diamondbacks 13-1
Martin Prado, Troy Glaus, and Eric Hinske combined for nine hits, four homeruns, and nine runs-batted-in and Tim Hudson pitched eight innings of three-hit ball to get his fourth win of the year as the Braves clobbered the Arizona Diamondbacks 13-1 this afternoon in Atlanta.
The hot-hitting Prado went 4-for-6 with two homerun blasts and three runs-batted-inÂ Â Â Â Â Â in the game, while Glaus went 3-for-5 with a homerun and two runs-batted-in, andÂ Â Â Hinske went 2-for-3 with a homerun and four runs-batted-in as they led the BravesÂ Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â to the easy win.
And Tim Hudson (4-1) pitched a gem, allowing just three hits and one run in eight innings pitched, while striking out six, as he notched his fourth win of the season.
Arizona ace Dan Haren (4-3) was roughed up for eight hits and seven runs (six earned) in just 4 and 1/3 innings pitched and took the loss for the Diamondbacks.
The Braves scored twice in the first, once in the fourth, four times in the fifth, twice in the sixth, and four more times in the eighth as they pounded Arizona pitching for 14 hits and 13 runs in the lopsided win.
The win was the fifth win in six games for the Braves, who improved to 18-19 with the win, while the loss dropped the Diamondbacks to 15-23.
