Pujols HR, 50th All-Time
The St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers are locked in a low-scoring battle at Busch. St. Louis’ offense has struggled thus far.
Albert, however, brought the lumber.
Albert Pujols cranked his 31st home run of the season to lead of the fourth-inning of Tuesday night’s game. Pujols is approaching 400 career homers, and now stands alone at 50th all-time on the home-run list, passing Joe Carter.
The 397th home run of Pujols’ career was to dead center field on a 2-2 fastball from P Dave Bush.
Pujols is now tied with Adam Dunn (31) for first in the National League in home-runs. He’s also in the top five in AVG and RBI, in a season that many analysts were calling a down year for Pujols.
Don’t you love it when they’re wrong?
