Atlanta Braves' stat of the day: Road woes

By Chad
Lowe needed someone to hit to support him last night.

A common theme for the Atlanta Braves all season has been their inability to win on the road.  They have the worse road record out of any playoff team this season at 35-46.  It is evident in their stats on the road. They hit .247 as a team on the road and .270 at home.  They had a 3.96 ERA on the road compared to a 3.18 ERA at home.

In the Braves’ last 7 road games, they are 1-6 and have only scored 14 runs.  That is two runs per game. They have lost two games 1-0 over their last 7 road games, including their game 1 loss to the San Francisco Giants.

The cliche is pitching wins championships. But, the lack of hitting kills good pitching.
