Chicago Cubs Might Lose Ryne Sandberg to the Crosstown White Sox

Yahoo Sports is reporting that hall of fame second basemen Ryne Sandberg would be considered by Ozzie Guillen as the new bench coach for the Chicago White Sox if Joey Cora becomes a manager for another organization. It’s been said that Cora is in the running for a couple managerial jobs across baseball, and has been a finalist in the past, so this could be the year for him. If Ryno did in deed crossed over, it would be a punch in the gut to Chicago Cubs fans everywhere. I know I for one couldn’t even picture Ryno wearing anything but the Cubby blue, but going black and white…really gives me a headache. However, since the Cubs dropped the ball and hired Mike Quade over Sandberg, Ryno has to do best for his career- and that’s get into a dugout of a major league squad. It almost seems disrespectful to ask Ryno to coach the Cubs’ AAA affiliate a 2nd year. Nothing is worse than seeing one of the best Cubs of all time get shunned.

I know you have to do what you gotta do Ryno, but please…don’t go to the Sox.
