Cooperstown for Blyleven??
Will this finally be the year he gets the vote? Bert Blyleven is on the Hall of Fame ballot again for the 14th year. Last year he was a mere five votes shy of getting in. Each year he gets closer and closer and with only five votes short last year, his chances look very good for getting in for the 2011 year.
He has come a long way since he first came onto the ballot and gone from receiving only 14 percent of the votes in 1999 to 74.2 percent last year. A candidate must get 75 percent of the vote to get in so will he do it?? We’ll just have to “wait and see” right along with him.
