Granddaughter of former Phillies manager Dallas Green shot and killed in Arizona
Sad news for the Philadelphia Phillies this week as former manager Dallas Green after his nine-year old granddaughter passed away over the weekend. On Saturday, Christina-Taylor Green was one of six people that were shot and killed by a gunman outside of a grocery store in Tucson, Arizona.
Green played for the Phillies in the 1960′s and was managed the team from 1979-81. He even led the Phillies to a World Series title in 1980–their first in franchise history. Thoughts and prayers go out to Green and his family during this tragic time.
