Angel Pagan to DL

Right after the Mets offense showed they might be turning it around in Jason Bay’s first game back from his DL stint, Angel Pagan found himself heading to the DL with an oblique injury.

Pagan had been struggling so far this season after a breakout 2010, batting .186 in 19 games this season. He injured himself during the Mets 9-1 victory on Thursday night.

The Mets called up Jason Pridie from Buffalo, who is 0-for-4 in his major league career.

Pridie will start in center field tonight against the D-backs and Beltran will remain in right field.
