VIDEO: Fan Makes Catch, Falls Into Pool, and Saves Beer at 2011 Home Run Derby
Robinson Cano’s home run display at the Home Run Derby on Monday night at Chase Field was one of the most impressive showings in the history of the event.
But what happened after one of Cano’s titanic blasts in the second round was the stuff of legends.
Not only did this fan catch a Cano homer, but he also fell into the pool beyond the right-center field fence at Chase Field and somehow managed to keep his beer above water in the process.
Sure he saved a beer that likely cost him $11.50, but his fine display of multitasking will likely go down as the greatest catch in Home Run Derby history.
