In a corresponding move to the activation of Jordan Schafer from the disabled list, Houston has elected to move young starting pitcher Jordan Lyles back to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
I can’t see him making too many starts down there, considering he’s rapidly approaching his should-be cut-off point for innings pitched this season. What’s the point of wasting his arm in a bunch of meaningless games?
Lyles has suffered enough already with his prolonged pursuit of career win number one. He got it, now let him rest.
