Michael Taylor Should be Playing Everyday
Billy Beane and Bob Melvin are making me nervous. A few days ago the A’s called up a few of the Rivercats to the bigs. Since the call-ups all they have done is get well acquainted with the bench. I don’t know what is going on but these guys should be playing everyday. We all know what the everyday starters can do and we are sick of watching it.
My question is, are Billy Beane or Bob Melvin still under the impression the A’s can make a run at this thing? If that it the case can someone please fill them in on the fact that the season is over.
The season is done and us A’s fans would much rather watch the young kids than David DeJesucks (see what I did there). No offense to DeJesus but I would bet he would be the first guy to tell you he is stinking it up this season. My biggest fear is that Beane wants these guys to keep playing because he is thinking about keeping them next year. Dear God, I hope that isn’t the case.
Anyway, back to the title of this blog. Michael Taylor is officially entering the make or brake part of his Oakland A’s career. He is 26 years old and has been in the minors for 5 years. He has already succeeded in the minors and isn’t going to get any better. He should now be an Oakland A from this point on like it or not. The A’s need to make this kid part of the franchise or move on. Sitting him, so a veteran, who won’t even be with the team next year can hit is a big mistake.
