Shane Victorino Becomes First Philadelphia Phillies Player to Win Branch Rickey Award
Earlier today, Shane Victorino was announced as the winner of the Branch Rickey Award, an award given annually to the major league baseball player who exemplifies the best community service.
Victorino has helped to raise over $500,000 through his charities to support people in Hawaii. Victorino was also instrumental in the remodeling of a Boys and Girls Club in Philadelphia.
Victorino will be inducted into the Baseball Humanitarian Hall of Fame on Saturday, November 12.
