The Pittsburgh Pirates (70-87) host the Cincinnati Reds (76-81) tonight at PNC Park in the team’s second-to-last home game of the season.
Game time is 7:05 PM.
Brad Lincoln (1-3, 4.85) will go for the Bucs. He’s coming off a terrible outing against the Los Angeles Dodgers in which he lasted just 1.2 innings while giving up eight hits and six earned runs on Sunday.
Twenty-four-year-old Travis Wood (6-5, 4.62) will pitch for Cincinnati. Wood hasn’t allowed a run in his last 11.2 IP, though only five of those innings came as a starter.
Here’s Pittsburgh’s lineup for tonight’s game:
1. Alex Presley, LF
2. Josh Harrison, 3B
3. Andrew McCutchen, CF
4. Derrek Lee, 1B
5. Neil Walker, 2B
6. Ryan Ludwick, RF
7. Jason Jaramillo, C
8. Ronny Cedeno, SS
The Pirates will host the Reds tomorrow at 1:35 PM in its last home game of the season, before traveling to Milwaukee for a season-ending three-game series with the NL Central champions.
With last night’s win, the Pittsburgh Pirates have won 70 games in a season for the first time since 2004. I slated them for exactly 71 before the season began.
