New York Mets Erase Remaining Ties from Omar Minaya Era
The New York Mets have let go of both Wayne Krivsky and Bryan Lambe – holdovers from Omar Minaya’s ship. Neither one was fired, but their contracts ran out and Sandy Alderson, looking to add some more of his own guys, was not interested in extending the New York Mets tenures of Krivsky or Lambe. As unfair as it might be to lump those guys into the failures of Omar Minaya, I can’t blame Alderson for letting the two scouts walk. The fact is that Omar Minaya left the New York Mets in a pretty unfavorable spot and it makes sense that Alderson and the current regime want to cut all ties with anything that allows Minaya’s legacy to linger.
