Marlins bolster rotation; Sign Mark Buehrle
The Miami Marlins have fallen out of the Albert Pujols race after the feeling is that he will not be choosing the Marlins ballclub to sign with for the 2012 season and beyond. However, that is no biggie because the Marlins have signed free agent starter Mark Buehrle to a four-year, $58 million contract.
Buehlre will come and help a rotation that was marred by injury last season to their ace Josh Johnson. Buehrle brings with him 13-9 win/loss record, 3.59 ERA and 139 strikeouts from Chicago. The Marlins are also expecting to keep on bidding for C.J. Wilson. If Wilson doesn’t budge, they might turn their sights to former Phillie, Roy Oswalt.
