Former Oriole Clyburn shot, killed
Former Major League outfielder Danny Clyburn was shot and killed early this morning after an argument in Lancaster, SC according to The Herald Online. Clyburn was reportedly found dead in the front yard of a lancaster home when police and EMS responded to a shooting report.
Clyburn was at one time considered a top power hitting prospect in the Orioles farm system. He appeared in 41 Major League games over parts of three seasons but failed to establish himself in the Majors. Clyburn batted .211 for his career with 4 home runs and 8 RBI in 118 plate appearance for Baltimore and Tampa.
Danny Clyburn was 37 years old.
