PHOTO: Empire State Building Honors Gary Carter
The Empire State building featured Mets colors Friday night to honor Gary Carter who passed away after losing his battle with brain cancer.
“The Kid” played with the Mets from 1985-1989 and was a key player on their 1987 World Series team.
The Yankees are the more popular team in New York but at least for one night Carter’s memory and the Mets colors lit up the sky.
