Roy Oswalt may not make a decision on which major league team he will play for until midseason, according to multiple reports.
Oswalt, 34, was 9-10 with a 3.69 ERA for the Philadelphia Phillies in 2011. The club has expressed interest in signing Oswalt for the ’12 season but only if they are able to trade away Joe Blanton, which obviously has not happened yet.
Oswalt is 159-93 in his 11-year major league career and he leads all active pitchers in winning percentage (.739) after the All-Star break, courtesy of ESPN Stats and Information. Oswalt has made three All-Star teams with the Houston Astros and Phillies.
