Washington Nationals’ pitcher John Lannan is projected to be on the outside looking in among the Nationals’ pitchers vying for a rotation spot this year. This leads to the conclusion that Lannan could get traded and with that, there are suitors out there for him.
According to Danny Knobler of CBS Sports and Ken Rostenthal of FOX Sports, Lannan is being targeted by the Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers, Houston Astros, Toronto Blue Jays, Kansas City Royals and even the San Diego Diego Padres and New York Mets were interested but did not like taking on $5 million of salary.
A trade is more likely to happen now since Lannan is not guaranteed a rotation spot and he would be a great help to a team that needs a fourth or fifth pitcher.
