The Brewers will send left-hander Chris Narveson to the mound for his second start of spring training. Narveson has pitched well posting a 0-1 record with an impressive 0.96 ERA and five strikeouts in 9.1 innings pitched. His .129 opponent batting average is the best on the team among players who have pitched 6.0 innings or more and second best overall.
The Dodgers will send right-hander Chad Billingsley to the mound to face Narveson. Billingsley has struggled this spring with a 0-0 record, 4.50 ERA, four strikeouts and a .344 opponent batting average in 8.0 innings pitched.
The Brewers bats should be able to jump all over Billingsley early so look for the Milwaukee sluggers to have success today. Manager Ron Roenicke has yet to reveal the lineup but expect an entirety of every day starters as the start of the season gets closer.
Third baseman Aramis Ramirez and shortstop Alex Gonzalez have already requested to play more so they can continue to get ready for Opening Day when the Brewers take on the St. Louis Cardinals April 6. As more and more players are sent back down to the minor leagues projected starters will get more opportunities as there are only 17 games left in spring training.
The game will be televised on Fox Sports Wisconsin as well as a webcast on Brewers.com.
