The Los Angeles Angels Get Off To Slow Start

The Los Angeles Angels are picked by many to win the World Series this year. With the addition of Albert Pujols and CJ Wilson, not many people expected them to start 2012 slow. That’s exactly what’s happened as the Angels have lost 2 of 3 to the Kansas City Royals.

I’m here to say meh- no big deal. The Angels are a good time and they’ll be just fine. I know Dan Haren didn’t look real good the other night, but he’s an outstanding pitcher and will be just fine. Tonight, Ervin Santana didn’t locate anything, and didn’t resemble the guy he was last year- again no big deal. It’s early and he’ll figure it out.

I’m more curious to see CJ Wilson throw tomorrow night. He was given a huge 5 year deal to be somewhat of another ace, and aces end losing streaks. CJ Wilson has the ability to earn what he was given, and I look forward to seeing him throw.

Albert Pujols was looking to have a huge debut, that didn’t happen. Is anyone really worried about Albert Pujols? He has an entire league to get used to- and he will. This is one of the best hitters in the history of the game, and he’s the last person in the world I’d be concerned about if I were a Los Angeles Angels fan. I know expectations are real high, but I think it’s real early to push the panic button. At least wait until May 1st.
