The Detroit Tigers Shouldn’t Worry About Miguel Cabrera
The Detroit Tigers are going to win the AL Central. It’s a fact, and you can take that advice all the way to Vegas if you so choose. The Tigers have two of the best sluggers in baseball in the middle of their order- Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder. Miguel Cabrera has gone into a nice little slump over the last few games, and there are whispers rumbling that maybe playing third base again is taking a little bit out of Miguel Cabrera.
Let me put it this way, the Tigers should worry about a lot of things. They might wanna worry a little bit about their middle infield play, the back end up of their bullpen, and if Justin Verlander gets hurt. The one thing they don’t have to worry about is Miguel Cabrera hitting.
Miguel Cabrera is such a talented hitter, Jim Leyland has gone out to say Cabrera knows more about hititng then he does, and wouldn’t talk to him about his slump. Good move Jim.
The Detroit Tigers are a good offensive club, obviously, but it doesn’t change the way baseball is. Guys are going to go through 0-19′s, and it doesn’t matter how good of a hitter he is. That’s all part of game, and you have to take the good with the bad. Hitters hit- period. Miguel Cabrera is a hitter, and he’s going to hit like he always has over his career. That’s what it comes down too.
Never worry about Miguel Cabrera’s offensive capabilities. He’ll be just fine.
