Milwaukee Brewers Lineup Against Kansas City Royals Series Finale
Milwaukee took a tough loss on Wednesday after starter Randy Wolf pitched seven solid innings in which he only allowed one earned run. The bullpen eventually gave the game away as John Axford blew his second save of the season after surrendering two earned runs in the ninth inning. Kameron Loe received the loss after leaving the bases loaded for Jose Veras, who walked in the winning run in extra innings.
It has been two back-to-back difficult losses for the Brewers, who must win Thursday’s game in order to get back in the hunt for the division. Milwaukee should have a good chance of winning the game with starter Shaun Marcum taking the mound. He has been one of the Brewers most consistent pitchers and has been nothing short of outstanding this season.
The following is the Brewers lineup against the Royals for Thursday night:
Left Field: Norichika Aoki
Right Field: Nyjer Morgan
Designated Hitter: Ryan Braun
Third Base: Aramis Ramirez
First Base: Corey Hart
Catcher: George Kottaras
Second Base: Rickie Weeks
Center Field: Carlos Gomez
Shortstop: Edwin Maysonet
Ryan Braun will be the designated hitter while George Kottaras will remain in the lineup as a catcher for the second night in a row. It is a good move giving Braun a rest from the field, while keeping Kottaras in could be to give the batting order some extra power. Not to mention, he should be able to give good protection for Hart.
Norichika Aoki will remain in the leadoff spot after going 2-5 last night with a run while Nyjer Morgan will hit second as tonight’s left fielder. Hopefully, Braun and Aramis Ramirez can get some help in the RBI department, as the Brewers desperately need a breakout game.
