MLB New York Mets

Crazy Fan Calls Into Mike Francesa Radio Show And Wants Knuckleball Banned

It is a great time to be a fan of RA Dickey and the New York Mets. The Mets are playing some good ball and Dickey looks to be one of the best pitchers in baseball.  However, not everyone likes it.  In fact, a guy called into the radio show of Mike Francesa to demand that the knuckleball be banned.

Sounds like this guy is pretty jealous of the success that Dickey is having.  Good job by Mike Francesa of shutting him down before he could even get going into his spiel.  Francesa called him a New York Yankees fan which is probably the truth.

Let’s face it.  Dickey is one of the best stories in sports this year.  He has thrown two straight one hitters and has made hitters look flat out dumb.  He hasn’t given up an earned run in over 40 innings and his strikeout rate for a knuckleballer is insane.

If you hate the Mets and Dickey, that is fine.  Don’t go calling into radio shows and trying to get the knuckleball banned.  If you do that, make sure you don’t make yourself sound even dumber by accusing Dickey of doctoring the balls.   That is making your stupidity sound even worse.

Mike Francesa certainly gets the weird guys to call into his show.  If you want the knuckleball banned, you should probably look in the mirror.  You might need to find a new outlet for your rage.  Radio shows aren’t cutting into.
